Gameplay help
How do I move a piece?
Drag a food piece from the tray to open cells on the bento board. A green preview marks a valid fit. To put placed food back, drag it toward the tray or select it and use Return. You can also select a tray piece and use the accessible board controls.
How do I rotate a piece?
Tap an already selected piece to rotate it, or use the visible Rotate control. Rotating in the tray is useful for Chef Challenges that ask you not to turn a piece after placing it.
What are Pack, Bloom, and Chef rewards?
Pack is earned whenever you complete a level. Completing a level also unlocks the next bento when one is available.
Bloom is earned by meeting the level's move target without using a Nudge.
Chef is earned by completing that level's optional Chef Challenge.
Bloom and Chef never block progress. Earned rewards remain visible in the Bento Passport.
What does Nudge do?
Nudge highlights a viable next fit or a placed piece worth reconsidering. It never moves a piece for you. Using it makes Bloom unavailable for the current attempt.
On levels whose Chef Challenge limits Nudges, it also updates that optional challenge. You can always complete the level, earn Pack, and continue normal progression.
Where is my progress stored?
Authoritative progress, including discovered packing recipes, is stored in the app's local container on your iPhone. Bento Bloom does not create an account or send progress to the developer. If you are signed in to Apple Game Center, derived achievement progress, eligible best no-Nudge move counts, and the current distinct-recipe total are sent directly to Apple.
How does Game Center work?
When you are signed in to Game Center, Apple's standard access point appears on Bento Bloom's Home screen. It opens Apple's Game Center overlay, where you can view seven achievements, a fewest-move leaderboard for each level, and the Recipes Discovered high-score board.
Sign-in, internet access, and reporting are never required to play or keep local progress. If the access point is absent, check Game Center in iPhone Settings and your network connection; you can continue playing normally.
Troubleshooting
Why is there no sound?
Bento Bloom respects iPhone Silent Mode, whether it is enabled with the Ring/Silent switch, Action button, or Control Center. Check that Silent Mode is off, the volume is audible, and Sound Effects is on in Bento Bloom’s About & Privacy screen. Haptics can be switched independently on the same screen and also depend on supported hardware and system settings. Visual cues and reward animations remain available with either setting off.
The layout or motion is uncomfortable
Bento Bloom includes VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type layouts, and Reduce Motion handling. The corresponding options are available in iPhone Settings under Accessibility.
How do I start fresh?
Each puzzle includes Restart Bento inside the More menu for starting the current attempt again. It asks for confirmation before clearing that attempt's placements and moves. Bento Bloom does not currently include an account or cloud-based local progress reset. Deleting the app removes local progress but does not itself erase achievement or leaderboard records Apple retains in Game Center.
