Overview

The Bento Bloom app does not automatically send personal data, gameplay, or progress to Bento Bloom's developer or a developer-operated service. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. If you choose to use Apple Game Center, limited achievement and score information is sent directly to Apple as described below. If you voluntarily contact support, the Support communications section applies.

Information stored on your device

Bento Bloom stores the following game information in the app's local storage:

  • level progress and unlocked levels;
  • best move counts and discovered packing recipes;
  • tutorial and tip state;
  • sound and haptic preferences; and
  • earned Pack, Bloom, and Chef rewards.

This information is used to remember your progress, feedback choices, and the next puzzle shown in the app. It is not transmitted to the developer. If Game Center is active, Bento Bloom derives and reports only the Game Center values described in the next section.

Apple Game Center

Game Center is an optional Apple service. Bento Bloom does not create a Bento Bloom account, receive or store your Game Center identity, or operate a Game Center server. When you are authenticated to Game Center, the app sends derived achievement progress, an eligible best move count for each level, and the current total of distinct packing recipes discovered across matching bundled level versions directly to Apple through Apple's GameKit framework. Only move scores earned without using a Nudge are eligible; recipe discovery is independent of Nudge use.

Game Center authentication, connectivity, or reporting is never required to play, save local progress, unlock a level, or earn an in-app reward. Apple's handling of Game Center information is governed by your Apple account and Game Center settings and Apple's Game Center privacy information.

Network, Bento Bloom accounts, analytics, and advertising

Bento Bloom does not require a Bento Bloom account or internet connection. It does not contain advertising, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or in-app purchases. It does not use data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising. Apart from optional Apple Game Center and links you choose to open, gameplay has no network requirement.

Retention and deletion

Game information remains in Bento Bloom's local app container until you delete Bento Bloom or iOS otherwise clears that data. Deleting Bento Bloom removes its local app container from the iPhone. Copies retained in an iPhone or cloud backup are controlled by your Apple and backup settings. Deleting Bento Bloom does not itself erase records Apple has retained in Game Center; Game Center can be managed through iPhone Settings and your Apple account.

This website

Bento Bloom provides links to this privacy policy and its support page from the in-app About & Privacy screen.

The HTML supplied for this page contains no analytics, advertising, contact form, cookie-setting code, third-party scripts, or externally hosted fonts. When you visit it, Cloudflare, the hosting provider, processes ordinary request information such as your IP address, requested page, browser details, and request time to deliver and secure the page. That request information is shared with Cloudflare only for hosting, delivery, abuse prevention, and security. Bento Bloom does not use it for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare may retain operational or security logs under its service configuration and privacy policy.

Support communications

If you choose to email support, Bento Bloom receives your email address and anything you include in your message, such as the app version, iOS version, iPhone model, level name, and problem description. This information is used only to respond to and manage your request. It is not sold or used for advertising or tracking. Support email is handled through a monitored support process: the email provider transmits and stores messages, and only authorized Bento Bloom support personnel access them. Support correspondence is retained for the time needed to resolve the request and for up to 12 months afterward, unless a longer period is required by law. Any service provider handling support correspondence may use it only to provide that service and must protect it consistently with this policy. Do not send sensitive personal information.

To ask about or request deletion of support correspondence, email appsupportcontact@icloud.com. Bento Bloom verifies a deletion request through the email account used to contact support, then deletes related messages from Bento Bloom-controlled systems. Copies may remain until removed through normal backup rotation, and records may be kept longer when required by law.

Children's privacy

Bento Bloom does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults through the Bento Bloom app. Apple may process optional Game Center information under the player's Apple account, parental controls, and Apple's privacy terms. If someone contacts support, the developer receives the information voluntarily included in that communication.

Changes to this policy

If Bento Bloom's data practices change, this policy and the app's App Store privacy disclosure will be updated as appropriate. The effective date at the top of this page will also be updated.
